LUMIE LAB

designing healthy & efficient luminous environments

About

The Luminous Environments' Lab (LUMIE LAB) is a trans-disciplinary built environment research group who share a common goal in designing healthy and sustainable lighting environments. Our research projects addresses pertinent issues in daylighting design and research, specifically in energy efficiency, green buildings, human health and behaviour.

Our  group includes researchers from architecture, physics, building science and psychology who come from the Design Lab at the Queensland University of Technology (QUT), in Brisbane, Australia

ABOUT

POE SURVEYS

Participate in research by completing an anonymous online survey that takes about 25 minutes: Lighting in Office Buildings Survey.

Employees have voted natural light to be their #1 office perk, and it is a key part of designing sustainable buildings. However, getting the right balance of natural and artificial lighting can be tricky. If you're an office worker in Australia, we're interested in hearing about the lighting in your workplace - particularly if you work in a green building (a directory of green buildings in Australia can be found here).

If the above link doesn't work, you can copy the following text into your browser:

We have developed a mobile-phone method of capturing glare as it occurs. If you're interested in having our glare-capture tool sent to your workplace so that you can document glare problems that occur, please get in contact.
